Understanding PRP
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is prepared from a small sample of your own blood. The blood is centrifuged to obtain a plasma fraction with concentrated platelets, which is then used for your treatment.
PRP for skin and scalp
At Clinique Novomedic, PRP may be considered for selected skin concerns or certain types of hair thinning after a medical assessment. Suitability depends on the diagnosis, your health history and your goals. Improvement is variable and cannot be guaranteed.
Your consultation and treatment
The consultation covers your medical history, medications, expectations and available alternatives. If PRP is appropriate, the practitioner explains how the treatment is performed, the areas to be treated and the proposed follow-up plan.
Risks and follow-up
Temporary discomfort, redness, swelling or bruising may occur. Infection and other complications are possible, so sterile preparation and careful technique are essential. Tell the practitioner about your medical conditions and medications before treatment.
The number of sessions, timing and any maintenance treatments are individualized. Results may develop over weeks to months. Follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions and contact the clinic if you have concerns after treatment.
